Dr. Wendy Merola
Dr Wendy Merola graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio with her medical degree in 1986 and has been in the profession for over 20 years. She is board certified in family medicine. Dr. Merola became interested in medicine during high school when her math teacher gave her an award and suggested that she consider medicine as a career. While completing her honors courses at UT in Austin, others encouraged her to pursue medicine. After working as a respiratory therapist in the Seton Neo-natal ICU, Dr. Merola decided to follow her destiny and become a physician.
Dr. Merola, who has resided in Central Texas since 1975, has been married to her husband Larry for 20 years. They are the proud parents of a 13 year old daughter. She was most recently at the Austin Diagnostic Clinic and decided to make her dream come true by opening her own private practice. She makes a simple promise: To provide the best quality health care to her patients and to make them feel as special as they are.
Susie Krzyzanowski, Office Manager
Susie Krzyzanowski is our office manager and is responsible for keeping the office running smoothly. She juggles insurance billing, scheduling, staff, and phones with ease. Susie is also the community liaison for the office and handles community outreach for the practice. She coordinates office events such as our open house and ribbon cutting with outstanding results. She maintains excellent business relationships and is an active member of Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce and PAHCOM (Professional Association of Health Care Office Managers).
Susie moved to central Texas from San Francisco in 2005 with her husband and two small boys. She has been in the medical field for many years and has managed many different large staff offices in oncology, chiropractic, internal medicine, and OB/GYN. Look for her cruising Lake Travis in her new boat, or out on the baseball field with her kids.
Katie Falloon, Nurse
Katie Falloon is the office nurse. She is responsible for obtaining patients' medical history and preparing patients for their visit with Dr. Merola. She also processes laboratory specimens and assists with medical procedures. She is the contact person for medical information, lab results, and medication questions.
Katie is a Montana native, but grew up in Colorado. She attended high school, college, and professional school in Colorado Springs. She has worked in a variety of medical settings, including an arthritis clinic, a pediatric clinic, a coronary intensive care unit and a postpartum care unit/newborn nursery. It is these job experiences coupled with her family life that has helped her relate and have compassion for patients of all shapes and sizes.
Katie married her best friend Mike, and together they have two children. In 2005 they decided to make the move to Texas to be closer to family. They love Texas life and spend lots of time out on the lake and at Six Flags and Sea World. Mom and Dad look forward to turning their kids into roller coaster gurus like they are.
